Carrageen Irish Moss dried

 

 

Traditionally carragheen was used as a soothing drink for coughs and colds.

​Check out out simple little recipe below.

Ingredients:

  • 20 g Carragheen moss
  • 1 l of water
  • Lemon/orange Juice or honey

Method

Soak the carragheen for approximately 15 min in water. Rinse it thoroughly afterwards removing any shells or instrustations.

Bring to the boil and simmer for about 1/2 hour. Strain using a sieve and remove the carragheen.

You may add lemon/orange Juice or honey to the liquid.

Drink as hot as possible.
